I'm Susanne Mulazzi, and I'm the person with R=U tattooed across both forearms and the one who started/pays for the project.  The sale of a wholesale distribution business in November 2007 provided me with the opportunity to invest and work in Glen Rock.  I ran the project for the first time at the end of 2008 and through 2009 though it should have ended in June of 2009.  The spring of 2010 brings the 2nd pass of the project and 2 men who were hired at different points during the 1st pass and who I now think of more like partners and thank my lucky stars for!  The 3 of us and the 6-8 high school kids we'll be working with this time will be getting Hamilton done and presenting "How We Would Do It" (tough to sum up with a title) on this website and live for those who live in Glen Rock.  I started off my life in a small town in Germany and we lived there until I was 8.  Then it was off to Zambia for 6 months before I was sent to boarding school in South Africa for 1-1/2 years followed by a move to River Vale, NJ where we lived until the summer before my senior year of high school.  My stay in Monroe, NY was limited to a year as I left for Boston University the following year and didn't settle down in Glen Rock until a week before the birth of my daughter over 11 years ago.  Ultimately, it's my kids that led to me starting this project and the kids I have met along the way who made me never want to give up.   I view this project as a means to make both a living and a lasting contribution to the community my children live in and maybe one day, they'll be members of the project as well :)
